Obituary
Argyle Louise Evenson (Edin) affectionately known as Ardie was born in Melfort, Sask. on December 3, 1934. She attended Pine Bluff School before entering the work force at the Co-operative Creamery in Melfort. On November 14, 1952 she married Fred Evenson. They were blessed with three children, Rodney, Barbara and Gregory. Together they operated the Brockington General Store and Post Office for 30 years. Upon retiring in 1982 they moved to Melfort and enjoyed spending time at their cabin at White Swan Lake. One of Ardies greatest joys in life were her grandchildren. She cherished every moment with them and left lasting memories. She became a resident at Parkland Place due to her failing health on October 6, 2017. Ardie passed away peacefully on October 20, 2018 at the age of 83. Lovingly remembered by her husband Fred, sons Rod and Greg, daughter Barb (Rune), grandchildren Megan (Leonard) and Nicole and her sister Sharon. She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Laura Edin, siblings Marlene Anderson, Shelah Squires, Judy Reed, Larry Edin and grandson Mitchell. As per Argyle's request no Funeral Service will be held. Memorial contributions in memory of Argyle may be directed to the Alzheimer Society and/or Sask. Heart & Stroke Foundation.
