My heartfelt condolences to Scott's mother and siblings, and to the entire extended family. I was Scott's art history teacher at the Academy of Design, and Scott was more than just a student, but also a friend. His sly smile and his laugh, and his enthusiasm for all the many things we studied and talked about will be sorely missed. Today is a day of mourning for all of us here. Scott should have been in class today, and we will be meeting to honour his memory and share our stories about his friendship. I admired Scott for his determination and his openness.
