Obituary
Joshua Arthur Storey was born on Sept. 6, 1923 to Albert and Lucy Storey and was raised with his siblings Evelyn, Doug, and Zed in Perdue, Sask. At the age of 16 Josh, along with his father, Albert, joined the army. Shortly after enlisting, Josh earned the rank of sergaent and was deployed to Ortona, Italy. In 1943 Josh was wounded and sent back to Canada.
Josh married Eileen Vera Ambler on July 20, 1945 and farmed in the Pathlow district. They were blessed with three children, Beverly, Peggy and Ab. Family always came first and his family grew with the addition of grandchildren Martine, J.J., Shelby, Justin, Jared, Adam, Jeff, Gillian, Erin, Graham, Michael and 17 great-grandchildren.
Josh had a big heart and loved his nephews, nieces, cousins and his entire extended family as well as many dear friends.
Josh was a dedicated community volunteer and devoted many hours to his legion, church and his children’s athletic and school activities. He was always interested in what his grandchildren were doing and the funny little things his great-grandchildren did or said as well.
Josh loved life and found great joy in sharing it with others. He loved travelling and following hockey and ball games. His fishing and house boating trips with Vera and their cousins or friends was always a topic of conversation.
Josh was a generous man and always there for his family and friends. He was loved and is deeply missed by many.
