Obituary
Mary Alice Flett was born on May 21, 1947 in Melfort. The family lived in the Haggstrom district for several years and that is where Mary started school. In 1954 we moved to BC and in 1958 returned to Saskatchewan. Mary attended school in Kirkton, Beatty and Kinistino where she graduated in 1965. After taking a one year business course in Melfort, Mary started working at the Melfort Hospital where she remained for 39 years, moving from the front office to medical records and secretary to the Administrator. In 2005 she decided to retire.
Through the years Mary enjoyed many activities. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cross stitching.
She enjoyed doing jig saw puzzles and cross word puzzles. But her favourite hobby was taking pictures. The kids always knew when Auntie Mary had her camera they had to pose for her. When scrapbooking came along she was quick to start going to classes and doing books of pages.
When Mary was a young teen, she accepted Christ as her Saviour and later was baptized and accepted into the assembly at Taylorside. One of her things she enjoyed there was teaching Sunday School to the smaller children and she always remembered them.
Mary and our family lost our Mom and Dad, brother Wilbur, and great nephew Jesse. She is survived by two sisters, two brothers and nieces and nephew and great niece and nephews. She is greatly missed by her family and friends.
Public visitation will be held at the Chapel of Melfort Funeral Home on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services were held at Taylorside Gospel Hall on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. The speakers were Herb Wright and Murray Meyers. Interment followed at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
