Jessie, daughter of Nickolas and Annie (Kruchkowski) Burlock was born and raised in the Ratner district and attended Murphy Creek School. She married Mike Kochan on August 3, 1943. They first resided in the Ridgedale district and then moved to their family home in Ratner where they lived until Mike’s death in 1985. She then resided in Melfort at Legion Place and Parkland Place until her passing. Her life centered around “Dad” (Mike) and family visits, especially when everyone was able to be together. She was predeceased by her husband Mike in 1985, her parents, her brother John, sisters Lena, Polly, Rosie, and Olga.
