Gordon was the fourth child of Telford Oliver Badger and Lillian May Badger (Richmond) born on March 28, 1947. His older siblings included Allan, Murray, and Donna. The family farmed in the Watrous area when Gordon was born. They moved to the Melfort area when he was about 10 years old. Gordon married Karen Krantz in 1968 and they had two children Collene and Neil. Collene married Roger Piatt and they had two children Justin and Sylene Piatt; his grandchildren. Gordon was later remarried to Coleen Thoresen in 1985. Gordon and Coleen were truly in love and she was by his side when he passed away. Gordon was a very inquisitive boy who won the high school science fair a few years in a row. He has always had a passion for learning. His many skills included being a capable electrician, electronics technologist, amateur machinist, journeyman welder, mechanic, photographer, pilot and aviation mechanic. He was intuitive and could repair almost anything. He was the guy you called whenever you needed to solve a problem that others could not. Although Gordon had many gifts and abilities, he truly felt that family and friends were the most important thing to him. He gave freely of himself to ensure his family felt they were always the first thing on his mind. Words cannot express how he is loved and missed but never forgotten by his family and friends. Gordon was predeceased by his brother Murray and his parents Telford and Lillian Badger and his brothers-in-law Calvin Galloway, Gary Taylor, and Ed Thoresen.
