With great sadness, we announce the passing of Deanna Margaret Wright (nee Stevenson). Dea was born in Melfort on 10 Aug 1939 and peacefully passed away, in Saskatoon, on 16 Apr 2021. A wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Dea was trained as laboratory technologist and was also an avid seamstress and dog handler. Deanna was predeceased by her parents Eldridge and Edith (Audette) Stevenson as well as her husband, Harold Wright. She is survived by her brother Merrill (Carol) Stevenson and sisters Jean McCloy and Gwen Kirkby. She is also survived by her son Barry (Carol) Wright; grandchildren Naomi (Brett) Farley, Nevin, Keelyn, Rhianna, Andra, Hyrum, and Wyatt Wright; her great-granddaughter Julia Farley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Her funeral will be held at the Melfort Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she will be interred in the Flett Springs cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, attendance at the funeral will be limited; however, the service will be broadcast over Zoom.
