Phyllis passed away peacefully on May 18, 2022 at the Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino. Phyllis was born on November 12, 1930 in Melfort to Roy and Marjorie Groat. She spent her early years in Saskatoon. The family moved back to the farm south of Ethelton in 1938 where Phyllis grew up. In 1948, Phyllis married Harvey Ford. Together they raised three sons, Darryl, Terry, and Roly. Phyllis was a typical farm wife working and helping out wherever and whenever needed. Harvey and Phyllis moved to Kinistino in 1995, where Phyllis remained until 2019 when she went to live at Nirvana in Melfort. In July 2020, she came to reside at the Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino until her passing. Phyllis was predeceased by husband Harvey, parents Roy and Marjorie Groat; Father and Mother In Law Bart and Dora Ford; sisters Effie and Velma; brothers Clark and Gordon; son Darryl; grandson Shane. Fondly remembered by sons Terry (Betty), Roly (Gale); grandchildren Jo-Elle, Teri-Lynn (Andrew), Oneida, Meghan, Shanna; great grandchildren Shae-Lynn, Mitchell, Coltin, Aubrey, Madeline, Sophie, Ayden, Ava, Nathan; brother Edward (Jean); sisters-in-law Shirley (Jack), Mary (Lorne), Lou and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions in memory of Phyllis may be directed to the Kinistino and District Health Foundation and/or Charity of One's Choice
