Olive Pearl Love (Jasper) was born on July 16, 1940 at the home farm near Hartney, Manitoba. Her parents were Clinton and Ruby Jasper, and Olive was the oldest of 8 children.
Olive moved to Melfort where she worked at the hospital. There she met Lorne Love. The two were married and raised two boys in Melfort. As a family, they enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, camping, and snowmobiling.
Olive became a grandmother in 1989, and shortly thereafter started the next step in her personal life with her partner Ron. The two enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, and avidly supporting all kinds of sports, especially their local junior hockey teams.
Olive was predeceased by her parents, her brother Jim Jasper, brothers-in-law Jack Isabey, Pete Masson, and Lloyd Love, sister-in-law Katherine Brumwell, first husband Lorne Love, son-in-law Kit Talbot, and grandson Devon Stein.
She is survived by her partner Ron Auchstaetter, sons Richard (Della) Love and Wayne (Lee-Ann) Love, siblings Marion Masson, Claris Isabey, Marjorie (George) Cantlon, Donald (Sandra) Jasper, George Jasper, and Philip (Katherine) Jasper, brother-in-law Tom (Sharon) Auchstaetter, and sisters-in-law Darlene Love and Diane (John) Moskaluk. She is also survived by Ron’s children Hugh (Sherry) Auchstaetter, Roxanne Talbot, Kerry (April) Auchstaetter, and Dawn Auchstaetter. Olive also has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will miss her dearly.
