PATSY NOREEN SUNDELIN
June 19, 1940 - June 12, 2023
Patsy (Pat) was born in Allison, Ontario beginning her life named Olive Gennings, however her birth family was unable to raise her and she was placed in an orphanage. At the age of three this little redhead captured the hearts of Jack and Mae Ferguson who adopted her to be raised with them and brother Bryce on their farm near Beatty, Sk. She had a happy and busy childhood with school, church and friends and she became a gifted pianist.
On January 17, 1959 Pat married David Sundelin of Kinistino and they started farm life and a family. They had their first child Noreen; sadly her early passing profoundly impacted them. Later they were blessed with daughters Vicki and Chris and sons Ross, Robin and Duane. After their family was complete, and in addition to running a farm household and raising her children, Pat entered the workforce in nursing care at Parkland Place in Melfort. Eventually she became administrator of Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino. She also Supplemented the family income through the years of driving school bus for David when he needed backup, educating herself in computers and tax preparation, and volunteer serving on some community organizations. She was a strong remarkable woman who overcame a lot of health adversity in later years but remained a positive upbeat example to family and friends and she will be dearly missed by all who know her.
Pat is survived by husband David; children Vicki Meszaros (Spouse Wayne, Heather, Jeff and families), Chris Woolsey (Nick, Laura, Sara and families), Ross (spouse Jean, Janessa and Davey), Robin (Spouse Jacquie, Marissa, Kaleb and partners), Duane (Spouse Sheri). She was predeceased by parents Jack and Mae Ferguson, birth mother Olive Gennings, brother Bryce Ferguson, daughter Noreen, granddaughter Julia, and Multiple in-laws
The family would like to thank all the staff at Jubilee Lodge for their kind care in her final years. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kinistino Jubilee Lodge Health Care Auxiliary Fund.
