Obituary of Blaine Stanley Forsyth

Blaine was born in the Melfort Hospital on June 22, 1946, to Robb & Ila Forsyth. He was the second eldest of eight children. He was raised in the Crompton district and went to school in this area until 1957, then to Kinistino school in 1958.
On November 17, 1954, Blaine accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. His personal relationship with Jesus was significant to him, and he was faithful to teach his children and grandchildren this truth. His life was a testimony to God’s grace.
He started grain farming with his father, Robb, in 1962 and raised hogs for many years. In 1965, he ventured out independently and purchased his first half section of land, where he resided for
49 years.
On April 10, 1971, he married Marion (Salisbury), who became his helpmate, partner, and friend for life. They had two children, Kimberly (Tony) and Chad (Jenni). Blaine greatly loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with them all, whether at home, playing a game, at the lake in the summer, fishing, or playing mini-golf.
Blaine farmed with his brother Don for over 50 years. Together, they sowed and reaped many harvests. In addition to farming, Blaine served the RM of Flett’s Springs as a Councillor and Reeve for many years.
On July 1, 2023, Blaine peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus, “his Saviour”. He’s survived by his beloved wife, Marion; his daughter, Kimberly (Tony), Cale and Lexi Sims; his son, Chad (Jenni), Georgia, James, and Abigail Forsyth. He is also survived by his many siblings, Don (Lillian), Elaine (Clint), Paul (Verda), Mark (Pam), Etta (Jason), and Tim (Esther) along with his nephews and nieces.
Blaine was pre-deceased by his parents Robb and Ila, brother Robert, nephew Lang, and niece Natasha Forsyth.
