Rodger Lindsay

Obituary of Rodger Glenn Lindsay

Please share a memory of Rodger to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Rodger was born July 18, 1962 in Cranbrook, B.C. to Ruby & Bruce Lindsay. He grew up in Naicam along with his two brothers Brian and Warren.
After completing his grade six education Rodger began working with his Dad at the family business Lindsay Construction. He had a passion and love for operating machinery especially the Dragline. At age 14 he purchased his first car and house. He worked at various excavation, pipeline, sewer and water businesses in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta and B.C. He owned and managed his own trucking company. He could function very well with minimal sleep and was very motivated which allowed him to accomplish much more in a day when trucking. In 2015 Rodger was part of the demolition of the Melfort Skating Rink.
He always made sure his family was a priority and he worked hard to provide everything they needed. He enjoyed watching his kids Kurt and Jeff play hockey, he was proud of them as well as his grandchildren.
After the passing of his parents Rodger struggled to cope with the loss.
He was a very kind man, generous and he truly was a person you wanted in your corner, he was very organized, neat, very detailed and punctual. We have many memories of his white bread, meat, potatoes and cream corn. He loved to have a drink and tell stories about life with close friends.
Rodger met and married Sakina and they were so very happy together as she always stood by his side.
Rodger is survived by his wife Sakina Lindsay, his sons Kurt (Charity) Graydi, Bryar Lindsay; Jeff (Jackie), Emma, Leo Lindsay; Angela (Russ) Skyler Panczak, Betty (Issam) Gomez and children Alias and Solomon. His brothers Brian (Cathy) Lindsay & family; Warren (Janet) Lindsay & family. Sister-in-law Sara (Dwayne) Kozinski & family as well as many beloved aunts, cousins and great friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Bruce & Ruby, his uncles and aunts Stuart Lindsay, Morris Andrew, Larry (Janet) Andrews, Bill Stevenson, Loreen & James Clifford.
