Obituary
Wilma Kathryn Ballantyne, beloved wife of the late Harold Ballantyne passed away on Sunday, December 20 just 24 days shy of celebrating her 102 birthday.
Wilma was born and raised in Melfort where she married Harold in 1941. Born the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. McMillan Wilma was an active member of the Melfort community until 2007 when she moved to Calgary to be closer to family.
Wilma is predeceased by her Harold (January 27, 1994); Norma and Clarence Graham (her sister and brother in law); and Douglas and Jean McMillan(her brother and sister in law).
Wilma is lovingly remembered by Norma's three daughters, Donna (John) Taylor of Calgary, AB. Patricia (Stephen) Cameron of Waterloo, ON, Gail (Reid) Corrigall of Calgary, AB. and their families and Doug's family, Bill McMillan of Saskatoon, SK, Jack McMillan of Victoria, BC, Jane (Harley) Dickenson of Saskatoon, SK, and Margaret (Glen) Smith of Abbotsford, BC and their families. All of Wilma's family were very dear to her.
A lifetime member of the Melfort United Church, Wilma contributed extraordinary volunteer hours to many organizations in Melfort, including the United Church Women, Rebecca Lodge, Federal local superannuates executive, City of Melfort, Nirvana Board Member, Reprints Book Club, Melfort Legion Women's Auxiliary.
