Obituary
Florence Bertram (nee Jamieson) was born in Swan River, Manitoba on July 4, 1918. She married Robson Bertram on June 16, 1936. In 1938, they moved to a farm in Saskatchewan located across the road from the home of Roland Seale, one mile south of Melfort. Roland shared the gospel of God’s gift of salvation with the Bertrams. Robson took an interest in the gospel and was saved first and Florence was saved later in 1948.
Robson and Florence had three girls, Marion, Phyllis and Georgina. Up until the day of her death, Florence maintained her own house, cared for her flower gardens, made her own meals and drove her own car. Canvas painting and painting on old irons were some of her favorite hobbies. She suffered a lot with osteoarthritis, but was determined to maintain an active life style and always look her best. For over 65 years, she was a member of the assembly that meets in the Taylorside Gospel Hall where she was loved and appreciated by all for her faithfulness and care for others.
One special delight to Florence was hearing the news of another grandchild, great grandchild or great-great grandchild being born. She was predeceased by her husband Robson and her son-in-law Paul Kember. She is survived by her daughters Marion (Dave) Taylor, Phyllis Kember, and Georgina (Ross) Wright, eleven grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. She loved them all very much.
