Dear Linda, Gwen, and Gerry, I am sorry for your loss. Although it's been decades since I last saw you mother, I will never forget her calm, measured voice (did she ever even yell?) and smile. Rest in peace Aunt Lorna.
May the Lord Jesus comfort your family at this time. I spent many enjoyable times visiting with Lorna when I worked at the Variety Shop. She had so many good stories about the the history of this area and I learned much from her. She was always a lady.
Sad to hear of Lorna's passing. She was so kind to me as a child when I visited the Porter farm back in the sixties. I enjoyed visiting her at Jubilee Lodge the last 3 times I was in the Melfort area. Lorna liked to look back and share her life experiences which I appreciated. She is missed.
Lorna was a lovely lady with a generous smile. I have memories of some nice chats and being in a Good Friday service with her many years ago. A long life well lived. My condolences to all who loved Lorna.
